Re: archeology

dear steph

i assume you are a/ requesting planning and l.b.consent to some form of new build extention (i.e. dig new foundations) from your l.a. all building works especially to listed buildings require the go-ahead from the listed aspect and the regular planning depts.

and b/ that your property is in an area of significant historical importance; that within the 'newish/ laws require 'any disturbance to the surrounding ground must be available for recording evidence found. this could of course throw 'valuable' light on our past habitation in the vacinity. c/ also as ' historical recording' was recently privatised the costs will need to be bourne by your goodself. there are now many archeology recorders in the directory and you will need to get quotes the same as with any trade or service rendered.

let me know your area and maybe i could schedule it in

jeff t.

p.s. i have found that l.a. reasoning is on the whole usually fair and legally correct,

Re: archeology

and let me say that the works being done by the archeologist / historical researchers and recorders and the reports that i have read and the gathering of finds are really good works . we can gain a great deal from our small part in this process.

good luck maybe you'll unearth a fortune and get a bonus in the bargain

thanks again for the enquiry
