sacrificial cloaks

i have been advised to install 'a sacrificial cloak ' to all the internal lead parapet gutters where there are overhanging ledge details at a higher level. What would be the benefit and cost implications let alone the effect on the existing where fixed to or not

Re: sacrificial cloaks ah ha

sacrificial cloaks are of the benefit of protecting the surfaces which they are designed to cover , in your case it would appear lead.

however and whether it be stone or some other delicate material it is but a defense against attack or asault by others

i presume your advice comes after consideration and if so withou t actually seeing on-site it is not a recommendation easily

banded about so probably considered advice. no photos to hand unfortunately but unless it is time to renew the leaded areas inquestion and there is no loss of any specific architectural detailing , just discuss with your lead/surveyor; but let me know soon
